Ichabod’s is a cozy little restaurant on the corner of 15th and Irving Place — close to Union Square. The space has a dimly lit intimate environment with a small open kitchen in the back. The food is mouth watering! We strongly suggest that every meal should start with the squash dumplings and end with their special ice cream sundae! The sundae comes in a mason jar filled with Ichabod’s homemade vanilla ice cream, caramel, pretzel pieces and topped off with bruleed marshmallow. They also have great drinks and cocktails! Their happy hour is Monday through Friday from 5pm to 7pm. It’s a bit pricey here but definitely worth every penny!
Ichabod’s tends to get pretty busy. There is a bar called The Headless Horseman right next door. The bar is attached and own by Ichabod’s but you have to walk outside to enter. If there is a long wait, give your name at Ichabod’s and tell them you are having a drink at The Headless Horseman. It is very convenient because the host or hostess will come over to the bar when your table is ready!
